Equipment Needs

When participating in a pistol competition it is not neccessary to have expensive specialized equipment and we suggest attending a few matches before purchasing your equiptment. If you plan on competing on a regular basis you will need the following:

1. Serviceable pistol or revolver with holster
and a minimum of 2 spare magazines in
belt mounted pouches.
(5 magazines are suggested.)
2. Eye and hearing protection
3. For IDPA you will need a cover garment such as a vest or jacket.
4. Enough ammunition to complete the competition (150 rounds is suggested)
5. For your first match, generally we will have equiptment available if you bring. Please contact us for specific match requirement on ammunition and round requirements.
